Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation occasionally. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area allowed her to land her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work with national producers on programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was used at times as a news and sport anchor. The same role she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz, Mexico. At some point they were moved into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. There is an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession known as Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta was a senior in high school, yet she was clear about the career she wanted to pursue. While deciding if Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she was looking for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and was enrolled in media studies at the college. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of her class, formed a lasting relationship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his passion in journalism was a huge influence on her. She determined to meet his standards and never fail him.
